Ordering FAQ's

Q: How can LawnDartParts.com sell parts for Lawn Darts legally?

A: The last thing that we want to do is break the law and/or hear of another injury (or death) by this former 80's outdoor game. We are not a big business, but rather a small, simple household in the midwest that likes to collect Lawn Darts (Jarts). We had adopted the UK's North America selling policy for the sale of lawn dart parts when we started this website in late 2006, since selling assembled sets wasn't an option. Our lawn dart parts aren't to be assembled, but rather only collected by adult collectors.

Q: Can lawn dart parts be shipped to other countries than the USA or Canada?

A: Yes, however, the buyer will have to pay for shipping and order via email vice the normal online PayPal "add to cart" method.

Q: For example, if I order a fin that says qty. 12, do I get all 12 fins for $35?

A: No. The abbreviation "ea." next to each dollar figure means that the fins are $35 each. So, 12 fins x $35 would cost $420. The parts are too rare to sell in bulk quantities for such a low price. All pricing is for "each" on this site unless otherwise specified.

Q: What are Special Grade fins?

A: We use the term "Special Grade" for fins in that "in-between" grade (A- and B-). A- fins aren't considered pure mint quality (but really close). If they were used, then they may have been tossed once or twice, but that's it and it's really hard to tell if they were used. They may have a scuff or some other very, very slight imperfection that bumps them down a 1/2 grade, but not all the way down to a grade B used fin. B- fins are used, but has one or more slight flaws. This is unlike the grade C fins with care moderately flawed, but still useable.

Q: What are the flaws associated with a Grade "C" item?

A: Flaws can range from plastic color fading to fin/ring cracks, punctures, chews and/or tears, fin warpage from heat to metal dings and/or heavy metal rusting on the metal parts. The item is still useable, but moderately flawed. The flaws range from a low-end C grade (C-) to a high end C grade (C+). We alway ship out our highest C ratings before our lower C ratings when it comes to an order of our grade C stock.

Q: Are shipments insured and is a delivery confirmation provided?

A: Starting June 5th, 2008, orders over $10 within the USA will always have delivery confirmation added to the shipping cost that we cover (# won't be provided via email after shipped unless requested). Insurance will be added complimentary to orders over $250. Other orders can be insured if the customer pays for the additional fee.

For orders to Canada, a customs # will be provided "if requested" in lieu of a delivery confirmation # for tracking purposes, since the USPS doesn't provide a standard delivery confirmation # for shipments from the USA to Canada. Allow 10-21 business days for first class shipments to Canada to arrive. Since insurance to Canada is only available under Priority Mail vice First Class, the increased costs for shipping + insurance will only be provided if paid for separately by the buyer of the lawn dart parts. We can quote and bill you in this case if requested. If insurance is not requested and paid for, then the package is not covered for any damages or losses that may incur during shipping.

Q: Will you ship Lawn Dart parts assembled?

A: As previously stated, NO.

Q: What parts does a complete lawn darts set consist of?

A: That answer can be found here. However, we don't condone assembly of any lawn dart parts.

Q: Why do the prices for some parts fluctuate higher than other similar parts?

A: It's simple supply and demand. If we have a low supply of a highly desired part in stock, then the pricing for such item generally will be higher until we gain more quantities.

Q: What if I forgot to specify the size of the plastic center shaft piece in my order?

A: If such piece has a range in different sizes available (ie. 14mm-18mm), then one would receive the smallest piece(s) in size. However, you can attempt to email us the size before your order ships and we will do our best to honor your request. NOTE: If an order is for all the parts for an entire lawn dart assembly, then we will test fit them, therefore, a size distinction isn't required. This still doesn't condone assembly once received.

Q: With many of the fins on this site, color tones vary. Therefore, what if I want to color match a fin with another fin that I already have. Can this be done?

A: Sure, before order, just email us a photo of your current fins color and we will do our best to color match it. We will let you know to the best of our ability if we can do a color match.

Q: If multiple fins are order to make a set, will all fins match in color tone?

A: In this case where multiple fins of the same type are ordered, we will try our best to color match the tones. There is no guarantee though, since our stock is constantly changing. Email before ordering if color tones are an issue.

Q: How long after payment are orders shipped out?

A: All orders ship out within 72 hours of receipt of payment via the US Postal Service.

Q: Can a refund be obtained if I'm not satisfied?

Q: Are the part sections and the shirt/gear section different when it comes to placing an order?

A: Yes, ordering from the Jart/Lawn Dart Parts section(s) and ordering from the shirts & gear section are separate. The shirts & gear sales section is through a seperate vendor, therefore, online payments will be made separate from the Lawn Dart Parts website which utilized PayPal. Money order payments CAN'T be accepted for orders placed through the shirts & gear section of LawnDartParts.com. Only credit card payments are accepted there.

Q: Are other forms of payment accepted besides PayPal?
